After hundreds of years of watchmaking finding newness is a task not to be taken lightly. Only through innovation and a keen understanding of the core communities interests can one etch out newness.
The goal was to bring deliver the newest Swiss manufacture micro-rotor in a thin, all-terrain ready GMT.
A LEAGUE OF IT'S OWN
In our research we looked to find a micro-rotor watch that met the following criteria.

Whilst there are others that make a GMT under 10mm we could not find one that could meet our criteria.
A JOURNEY TO GREAT DEPTHS
Just 29% of the earths surface is land, leaving 71% as water. If we were going to make an all-terrain it just simply had to be able to perform when exploring the underwater world.
A recreational diver rarely exceeds 30 meters in depth, therefore 100 meters is more than sufficient and the baseline water resistance of SUPRESEDE.
Our advanced team of engineers look to go a step further and push the material construction boundaries of SUPERSEDE to 200 meters. If we will get there, only time and tolerances can tell.
If we do manage to pull off 200 meters over the development timeline, SUPERSEDE will achieve to our knowledge the best pressure rating for a micro-rotor GMT under 10mm in thickness.

Next Generation Design
Variety is the spice of life. For two years we have been invested in the design of the K2 watch and felt that such a special platform deserved more than just one watch. Although based in Biel/Bienne we are a mix of Swiss and expats alike and the goal was to blend cultures to create a new Swiss look.
Joining the team for the first K2 watch is Thomas Funder, a Dane that calls Zurich home. Thomas has been a part of many contemporary Swiss watch projects and most notably known for Rec Designs and SevenFriday projects. Together with our Swiss engineers and watchmakers he has worked meticulously on the aesthetic design of the K2 movement and now Supersede.
His inspiration for SUPERSEDE stemmed from light and how it reflects off the surface of water. The highly polished diver bezel embodies this look and feel. Thomas played with brushed and polished surfaces to further achieve a feeling of lightness in an already low profile lightweight watch.
MOVEMENT SPECS
K2 is truly a manufacture movement that is modular and meets industrial level accuracy, efficiency, reliability and scalability. It comes in 2.9mm, 3.3mm and 3.6mm dimensions. SUPERSEDE makes use of the 3.6mm version.

SWISS MOVEMENT DEVELOPMENT
Starting in 2015 K2 has been a skunkworks project operated under the guise of various project names.
K2 comes in three base profiles of 2.9mm, 3.3mm and 3.6mm. For Supersede we utilize the 3.6mm to achieve the desired GMT complication. Ultra-efficient through advanced engineering and material technologies K2 will join the ranks of the most advanced Swiss micro-rotors.
As seasoned engineers and watchmakers our team has all relevant building blocks and facilities at their disposal to succeed in the delivery of any industrial level movement project.
Over 12 years of development with both Tourbillon 1 & K1 proving our capabilities to take on the challenge of K2.
