Late last year, we introduced our latest flagship for 2024, the Autark Tourbillon. This combines our K2 micro-rotor and K-TOU tourbillon into a single and very rare caliber, the K-TMR micro-rotor tourbillon. Beyond the renders, specs and excitement, there’s incredible work being done behind the scenes to bring the Autark Tourbillon to fruition. Within the last few weeks, Horage watchmakers have brought the first K-TMR prototype to life and seeing a living, breathing micro-rotor tourbillon within its case is truly a sight to behold. It’s no longer an animation, it’s real and we’re on track to build and deliver this exceptional watch as early as Q1 2025.
K-TMR Micro-Rotor Customization
Similar to our inaugural tourbillon, the Tourbillon 1, we’re offering customization options with the K-TMR itself that includes three different color finishes to be displayed via a sapphire exhibition caseback. Colors include Classic Anthracite, Deep Blue or Sporty Red to add personalization and bit of pop to this very sophisticated and complex movement. Regardless of color, the micro-rotor will always be solid PT950 platinum, so every option is as premium as it gets. Other standard specs include an anti-magnetic silicon escapement and hairspring, hand-finished bridges and regulation to a chronometer level of accuracy, which is -4/+6 seconds per day.
Autark Tourbillon Dial Options
Unlike the Tourbillon 1, the dial isn’t partially skeletonized, so we have dial options to further make this piece your own. For starters, some of the dial colour options feature a power reserve indicator at 10 o’clock to relay the current status of K-TMR’s 72+ hours of reserve. This is a very useful complication that many appreciate, but others prefer the tourbillon itself to truly highlight the dial. For those purists, a time-only dial is also available. The flying tourbillon cage is titanium, only 0.29 grams and again equipped with a silicon escapement and hairspring. This 43-piece wonder is also among the most efficient in the world and positioned at 6 o’clock. In addition, there are now four dial colors to choose from as well - Gradient Grey, Sunray Blue, Sunray Black and Salmon, the latter historically being reserved for the most luxurious timepieces
Custom Bracelet and Case
Like all of the watches in our Autark collection, the Autark Tourbillon case and bracelet are Grade 5 titanium. The custom, integrated three-link bracelet also features our proprietary, ultra-low profile micro-adjusting clasp (HMAC) that debuted on our Supersede GMT. It tapers from 22mm at the case to 16mm and all outer (visible) components are titanium, but the inner mechanism itself remains stainless steel for durability. The clasp allows for tool free adjustments with the push of an internal button, totaling 10mm in 1mm increments. This is a ground up development that we started in early 2021 and truly a class leader.
The Grade 5 titanium case is shared with the Autark Small Seconds and Autark Chinese New Year One Edition, and comes in at 39mm in diameter with a sub-9mm thickness. Lug-to-lug is 48.3mm and there’s a multi-layer anti-reflective sapphire crystal and sapphire caseback. There are full crown guards, a titanium push/pull crown and water resistance is rated at 100 meters.
Hear From Our Team Firsthand
Our team recently had a YouTube live stream all about Autark Tourbillon updates. Hear directly from the horse’s mouth for all the latest news below!
Purchasing an Autark Tourbillon
There are two purchasing options, starting with a full, one-time payment during the preorder period. Keep in mind that the price increases CHF 100 every Tuesday, so the earlier you get in, the more you’ll save. Full payment orders will also have shipment priority. The current preorder price (at time of posting) is CHF 11,790 and the final retail price will be CHF 14,990, which still represents the most accessible price for an in-house, Swiss made micro-rotor tourbillon by a factor of three or more.
The second option is an interest free, tri-payment plan. This allows buyers to break up payments over time, starting with an initial installment (currently at the time of posting CHF 4,790) and then two payments of CHF 3,500. The second payment is due 60 days after the first and the final payment is due 30 days before shipping. Invoices will be emailed, so there won’t be any guesswork.

Per your writing, "Other standard specs include an anti-magnetic silicon escapement and hairspring, hand-finished bridges and a COSC certification (-4/+6 seconds per day accuracy).", does it come with the COSC certification? That will be GREAT!
I had the pleasure to were it for some time already... had to rip it out of the engineers hands. It is amazing how smooth it wears. So much tech in der an yet so slim. Little bit less than 8 months from the first CAD stroke to the ticking sample. Its a bit of a timline like Tourbillon 1 it seems ;-)
Great work! It looks beautiful, and seems easy to fully see the tourbillon working in it’s dialess state 🤩
“Unlike the Tourbillon 1, the dial isn’t partially skeletonized…”
Maybe a skeleton KTMR should be considered after the K-TMR Autark is completed? 🤔😃
Amazing job so far, I’m excited to see the watch faces. I definitely like power reserve, were there any other designs instead of the black arrow? I’m just curious to see what it looked like with a hand in the style of the hour/minute hand.
Secondly, will I be able to change my order when the watches are shown completed? It is difficult to make a final decision from the CGI images.

This sounds like there will be a power reserve option on all dial colours. This wasn't the case within the order options before. Will there be a possibility of a power reserve on the blue dial? And if i have orderd time only, will i be able to switch?
